Pons Guard with its meltblown layer in between two spunbond layers, it gives you over 98% protection over bacteria and viruses in the environment you are in. With its strong elastic earloops and ınside layer provides comfort and ease of wearing.

    • Inner layer is made of soft spun-bond material for more comfort, soft absorbent, and hypoallergenic non-woven fabric.
    • Middle layer is made of melt-blown filter non-woven fabric. Melt-blown material is the filter of your mask and gives you over 98% Biological filtration efficiency.
    • Outer layer is made of spun-bond non-woven fabric and provides a barrier for splashes coming towards your face or going out from you.

  • Outer layer is made with Spun-Bond non-woven fabric.

  • SMS layers for Blue Masks are S:40gr M:25gr S:30gr.
  • SMS layers for White Masks are S:30gr M:25gr S:30gr.
  • Both Blue and White face masks have the following performances on tests made according to related European standards.

Microbiological Tests

  • Splash Resistance Pressure (Test Results: over 20 kpa)
    Test Method:

    EN 14683:2019 + AC:2019 (Clause 5.2.4) the resistance of the medical/surgical face mask for Type IIR to penetration of splashes of liquid shall conform to the minimum value of 16kPa or greater.
    ISO 22609:2004 Clothing protection against infectious agents (Medical Face Masks) test method for resistance against penetration by synthetic blood (fixed volume, horizontally projected)

    Temperature (21 ± 5) °C, Relative humidity (85 ± 5) %, Duration 4hrs

  • Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) (Test Results: over 98%)
    Test Method:
    EN 14683:2019 + AC:2019 A specimen of the mask material is clamped between an impactor and aerosol chamber. An aerosol of Staphylococcus aureus is introduced into the aerosol chamber and drawn through the mask material and the impactor under vacuum. The bacterial filtration efficiency of the mask is given by the number of colony forming units passing through the medical face mask material expressed as a percentage of the number colony forming units present in the challenge aerosol. For Medical/Surgical Face Masks TYPE IIR the BFE should be greater than 98%.

    Test Condition:
    Test flow rate: 28.3 L/min, Duration: 2 min, Sample size: 20×20 cm², Test area: 4.9 cm² (5 samples), Test condition: Temperature (21 ± 5) °C, Relative humidity (85 ± 5) %, Duration 4hrs, Test microorganism: Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Bacterial concentration: 5 x 105 cfu/ml, Incubation condition: Duration 24 hrs, Temperature 35°C ± 2°C, Positive control sample average of number of Bacteria (C): 2.8×10³ cfu/ml, Mean particle size (MPS): 3.0 µm

  • Microbial Cleanliness (Bioburden) (Test Results: below 20 cfu/g)

    Test Method:
    EN 14683:2019 + AC:2019 and EN ISO 117-1:2018. 5 samples were taken. The sample is weighed and put in extraction liquid after shaken well (250rpm, 5min), inoculated on the suitable agar. The plates are incubated for TSA and SDA plates respectively. Total microorganisms’ counts are calculated. For Medical/Surgical Face Masks TYPE IIR the bioburden should be lower than 30 cfu/g.

    Test Condition:
    Temperature (30 ± 1) °C for Duration: 3 days and Temperature (20 to 25) °C for Duration: 7 days.

Physical Tests

  • Breathability (Differential Pressure) (Test Results: below 20 Pa/cm²)

    Test Method:
    EN 14683:2019 + AC:2019 Test area is 25mm in diameter, 5 samples were taken. Adjusted airflow is 8 l/min. The differential pressure is read directly using a differential pressure manometer. For Medical Face Masks TYPE IIR the differential pressure should be lower than 40 Pa/cm².

How To Wear a Mask?

Before putting on a mask, clean hands with alcohol-based hand sanitiser or soap and water.

Avoid touching the mask while using it. If you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand sanitiser or soap and water.

Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps netween your face and the mask.

Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single-use masks.

To remove the mask, remove it from behind using the strings (do not touch the front of mask). Discard immediately in a closed bin. Clean hands with alcohol-based hand sanitiser or soap and water.
